While you were sleeping, Gustav Eden from Norway made history at the Ironman Kona World Triathlon Championships, Hawaii.
He swam 3.8 km, rode 180 km and ran 42.2 km in 7 hours 40 minutes 24 seconds. He’s beaten the world record of Jan Frodeno of Germany by more than 10 minutes. Incredible!
By the way, he ran a marathon through the red-hot lava fields of the Big island in 2 hours 36 minutes 15 seconds. Gustav is 26 years old and this is his second full Ironman in his life.
